The first look for the second time
Mylisse and Justin – a pair of lovers, a couple of friends, two different hearts beating to the same tune.
Way back when, these wide eyed and bronze skinned kids were married in front of their family and friends. Their wedding was magical, just as they had planned it and reflected their relationship at the time, perfectly.
10 years later, Mylisse and Justin wanted to celebrate their first century together in a way that complimented the life they had built so far, shared with their growing family. It was going to be something special, something unique, something that screamed them.
As soon as they made contact, I knew theirs was a story I needed to tell.
On 25th of August, a balmy Sunday afternoon, with the perfect balance of warm sun and soft breeze, I had the pleasure of capturing Mylisse and Justin renew their vows.
It was an intimate and entirely romantic event, hosted nearby Mylisse’s childhood home Cabarita Beach. It made sense that the scene was set in the areas she used to run wild in, just as her first born would as his parents said their I Do’s for the second time.
Mylisse and Justin enjoy the simple things in life, splashed with the colour of adventure. Their ceremony reflected this perfectly. Circle of Love worked with Flowers on Chevron to create a Boho inspired theme. The magic was deep in the detail of neutral, earthy tones – complimented by a hint of red and deep burgundy glistening through the arbour and Mylisse’s bouquet, giving the scene just enough shine. Wedding Planners, Bridal Bible Weddings listened, understood and hand selected the vendors they knew could make the couples vision a reality.
As Justin waited at the incredible arbour he spotted his Bride looking gorgeous as ever in her billowing Spell gown and topped with her favourite Lack of Colour Ivory Rancher. Fellan Robinson MUA and Jess Longhurst Hair from Studio Upstairs made sure Mylisse’s appearance matched her calm and warm personality, ensuring she was comfortable and confident.
I would like to say that Justin crumbled when he first spotted Mylisse, but I don’t think the words do his expression justice. I’ll let you watch their day and decide for yourself.
